SCOUT BLOG

Banks Wickersham 2026 C

Big time talent that also produced and performed at a high level all weekend. Got his weekend started off on the right foot with the bat while just missing hitting for the cycle over his teams double header. Showed big time bat speed and strength while driving multiple balls to the wall in the big park of the field. Also had the opportunity to show off his arm talent on the mound while running his fastball up to 87 mph and mixing in his breaking ball and change up, Fun player to watch as he continues to get better each time we have seen him play!

Ethan Offing 2026 INF

The more we keep seeing this young man the more we come away impressed. Shows off high level athleticism and bat speed in swing along with power. Showed off the power in a big way while driving the ball deep over the fence in center field for a home run while also taking a smooth controlled swing. Infielder by trait but also showed he can play and bounce all over the field. High level athlete that can also play the game at a high level.

Jackson Weiner 2026 RHP

Weiner was a standout on the mound for Canes South 15U Scout in a quarterfinal game for them. 6’1 185 pound frame with upside. Showed a repeatable delivery while on the mound. When he located within the zone, hitters were unable to make consistent contact. He produced soft contact on balls in play. The FB sat 82-84 T86 with hop to it. Will be an arm to keep on eye on in the future once he can display command of the zone.

Graham Coleman 2027 INF/OF

Graham turned in a big performance in the tournament. Showed the ability to catch a lot of barrels throughout the weekend. Present athleticism allows him to play multiple positions in the field with a high baseball IQ. Graham displayed some power as well with a wood bat. Looked to stay in the middle of the field shooting some balls into the gaps.

Beau Hite 2028 RHP/INF

We have written about Beau and continue to write about him due to his ability. His big performance this time came on the bump against a quality hitting team. He was able to go 5 innings of shutout baseball. The FB topped at 80 but the biggest separator for him at this age is his competitiveness and command of the zone. He was able to nibble around the plate to get a lot of swing and miss and give his team chances to put up runs to take a commanding lead. Lean athletic frame that will continue to fill out as he is only a rising 8th grader.

Parker McGee 2026 INF South Carolina Commit

A Junior Future Alum for Team South Carolina put on a hitting clinic at the SC Summer Championship on his way to garnering MVP honors in the championship game. Present power with the ability to drive balls out of the park. Played a good MIF with range and carry on throws across the diamond. Shows bat speed and barrel control making him a hard out in the box. Athleticism will continue to make him a player that stands out on the field.

Landon Hulehan 2026 RHP

Hulehan was intriguing from the first pitch he threw. 6’3 frame 150 long and lean. Whippy arm action with a repeatable delivery. OTT arm slot was able to run the FB up to 81 with some cut. Commanded the zone well and gave his club some strong innings. Has the ability to be a big time arm as he matures and gets in the weight room.

Easton Rider 2027 RHP

Rider stepped on the mound with an immediate intimidating presence on the mound. 6’3 250 pound frame. FB topped out at 83 and was effectively wild but when within the zone he was hard to hit. Showed a tight SL that’s developing at 68. Will be a follow on the mound as he continues to work on mechanics and command within the zone.

John Miedreich 2026 MIF

I got the chance to see Miedreich in multiple games this weekend and he showed up on both sides of the ball. Offensively he mashed balls regardless of the outcome. His second game I got to saw he got on every single at bat and produced big plays for his team. Defensively he locked down the shortstop position and has a plus arm and range.

Will Watson 2026 INF

I had the pleasure of seeing Watson perform very well over the weekend. Watson showed off a huge bat that had lots of juice in it. Lacing multiple balls in the game one of Will’s biggest hits was a huge shot to left field later in the game. Watson plays for a very good power team and look forward to seeing more of him in the future.

Reece Oakley 2026 C/P

Oakley is a tall right handed pitcher/catcher from Dorman High School. Reece showed very good presence in the box and roped baseballs this weekend. High stance, and big load Oakley crushes the baseball. Reece also pitched later on in the tournament and was in the low 80’s. Big name to follow the next few seasons.

Jace Jones 2026 1B/OF

You probably haven't heard much about Jace Jones but he came to play. Jace put his team on his back and brought them to a win at Charleston Southern. Jones roamed the outfield during today's contest and powdered the ball. Big frame, and lots of speed to help this young man. Jace had a big triple to right center field for multiple RBI’s to help his 5-Star Carolina team to a Win.

Webb Williams 2026 P/1B

Webb Williams had a great day on the bump. Consolation game meant nothing to him and his teammates and they came to play. Williams was consistent in the zone all day throwing multiple pitches for strikes. Williams up to 80 mid game for this Athletes Lab Team. Size helps this young man and will continue to gain velo as he gets older.

Jake DiMartino 2026 C

Dimartino had a fantastic weekend at the plate for the Canes. He racked up hits all weekend regardless of who he was facing. Solid frame to build on and a compact swing that leads to hitting the ball on the barrel with consistency. Also does a nice job behind the plate and has a quick release when throwing. Could develop into a very good catcher in the 2026 class.

Cameron Craft 2026 LHP

Craft is a two-way guy who had an impressive start on the mound for Power Baseball and helped lead them to the championship. The 6’1 lefty has a nice frame to build on that could lead to a velocity jump in the near future. He does a good job getting extension and makes his upper 70’s FB look much harder. Locates well with both pitches and has a good amount of break including run on the fastball.

Bryson Cothran 2026 RHP

Cothran had a very good start on the mound for the Canes on Friday morning. Good size at 6’1 and does a good job repeating his delivery. The most impressive thing I noticed was the pace he works at on the mound. He fills the zone up and works fast. His fastball is in the upper 70’s-low 80’s and throws a breaking ball in the 66-67 range. Could see some big innings for Chapman this year depending on how his offseason goes.

Brewer Cannon 2027 INF

Cannon put together some of the best at-bats I saw all weekend. He is a big right-handed hitter that generates serious power for a 2027 swinging wood. Keeps the barrel in the zone for a long time and the ball jumps off his bat. Could certainly see Cannon developing into a middle of the order infielder down the road.

Luke Young 2026 C

Young stood out behind the plate for the Canes every time I saw him this weekend. Receives the ball well and handles a pitching staff very well for such a young catcher. Above average release and arm strength to go along with the receiving. Solid approach at the plate with potential to get better. Has a bright future behind the plate for Clinton especially if he continues to develop at the plate and turn into a top or middle of the order hitter.
