Every GM and coach in the league believe they can turn players into superstars. Our Big 4 have a lot of value. A bunch of teams were going hard at Jarrett Allen. The Cavs had to come out and tell them he and Mitchell were untouchable. Allen is a youngster compared to most of the bigs in this league. So is Mitchell. Garland and Mobley are pups. Garland and Mobley in the right system could ball out

If Luka told Dallas to kick rocks, who else can give up 2 young potential All Stars? Like I said, I’m not sure I’d trade any of these guys until we get a new coach. In time this crew could be the beast of the east. Don’t let JBBs piss poor coaching taint your view.

I think they absolutely would be desirable. But I don’t think there is a team in the league that would be willing to give up a top 10 player for that combo. Not even close.

Yep and when I advocated going after him last season several people on here blasted me for the suggestion!

And watching how Philly and NY close out on three point shooters and rotate hard to open men should take the notice in our “marshmallow” soft and gliding defense! Again a team takes on the identity of its coach OT: 2023-2024 Cavs Season (4)

Not in 1 million years would Dallas make that trade. If they are going to trade Doncic it would be for a deal that is going to give them tons of draft picks along with some solid players, not a couple borderline All-Stars

Teams definitely were interested in Allen this off-season but not if they were going to give up anything even remotely close to a player with all star potential. I’ve only heard of one potential trade that was leaked and that was Oklahoma City giving up Lu Dort for Allen. Obviously I would not do that if I am Cleveland, but I do think that gives you a little bit of an idea as to what he would fetch. He and Garland would not get you.Luka-not even close.

The Spurs aren’t giving up Wemby for anyone. Neither would the Nuggets deal Jokic. Now if one got totally done with their team and refused to play then all bets are off. But those guys personalities would never do that. But a lot of these other stars are always one step out the door, which is why teams have to coddle them.

Okc could give up Jaylen Williams and Josh giddy. I feel like that would be as good or better than Cleveland’s package plus they could give up multiple first round picks. Literally zero chance Cleveland would have any two players that would bring back a top 10 talent.

An interesting thought exercise is how it would these two guys look if we flipped situations? I feel like Mitchell would be doing better in New York than he is in Cleveland. And if our back court was JB and DG, I feel like we would be in an even worse position.

I can’t stand to hear Stephen A so it’s any other team in the East except NY.

Like I said before I would root for the Russians if they were playing NY or the Cowboys.

    What? Not even close.

I love JA, but I don’t see any world in which he would command anything even remotely close to that much and if that would be the case, he should be traded tomorrow

Gobert was traded for Walker Kessler, Malik Beasley 4. 1sts and a pick swap. We don’t have a player on our roster that would bring back that much. Again, if any of our top four guys would get that much I think they are traded immediately.

Here in Cali on the sports talk shows the word is in the off-season the Dubs are going to target Allen in a trade with Wiggins and draft picks being part of the package.

I think Wiggins is god-awful so there aren’t many things they could attach to him that would make me like that trade. Cleveland would be nuts to take him on. I wouldn’t take Wiggins for Strus and Niang and I am as on them as anyone right now

That Knicks roster is exponentially better than ours. Strus and his 5-8 points probably wouldn't play more than 5 minutes for them right now. Niang sure as hell wouldn't. They went out and got Anuoby and Achuiwa they snared 21 boards and 7 blocks today. That's how you make moves to take your team/franchise to the next level. We went out and got guys that had 1 rebound and 3 assists combined yesterday. Great work guys!

I’m not opposed to a fair trade. To be frank, JA is the best trade piece we have based strictly on performance and contract.

I’m not sure I’m offloading him solely.

I definitely think Allen is the most enticing trade piece. Probably Mobley after that. But I don’t think any of them on their own are bringing back any individual talent. If you are trading them, you are collecting draft picks and hoping to do something down the line. None of them, included, are bringing back 4 first rounders. Absolutely not.
